Mystery Tab.... Does anyone recognize this?
« on: February 18, 2012, 12:16:00 AM »
I found this tab in a back drawer of our shop. It is AWESOME. Not sure what type of hair it is, or who made it. But I would buy more in a heartbeat. Has anyone else seen these before...

It is a long very very slick hair, like beaver.

Looks like an old Kantpinch tab... I don't remember if that name is the make, or if it's the model.  I shot those exclusively since the 80's, but came across a different cheap tab (can't remember the name) with a felt spacer that I like more.  My dad (who is now in heaven) ran an archery shop in the 70s and sold those.  When he closed it down, he kept much of his inventory, and we literally had a lifetime supply of these tabs.  If I remember correctly, there is still a huge box of new-in-the-package tabs like this -- all left-handed -- in dad's garage!

My guess is a Neet copy; it is a very good design.  I can see where beaver would make a nice slick tab altho I have no clue as to how durable.  The calf hair tab was a standard for a long time; I still have a couple that I use as spares.

I used to use one of those with my mechanical bow long, long ago.

To me it looks like a  KANT-PINCH marketed and made by KINSEYS ARCHERY IN THE 80'S , SURE NO neet ONE TO MY THOUGHTS..The spacer on the one you have like the same materl as a KKK quiver and NEET , well I never saw any that were not felt spacers.
