Oh My Gosh! This knife came out real nice. A friend wanted me to make a knife for his brother for a wedding gift.
Found out about it last Monday. Ordered the blades Tuesday and they came in the mail Friday. Thanks Westvangs! I made the knife Saturday, Sprayed the finish Sunday and delivered it Monday for the trip to Montana Tuesday. Whew!
Had a dickens of a time trying to make up my mind what to use. His only desire was some antler and brass accents. Finally decided on brass finger guard, ebony and sheep horn accents with the elk antler. Funny, you never really know how these are going to look until you have them glued up and finished. I have to say, this one looks fantistic. I slanted the finger guard a little to give it a racy look and to match the angle of the accents.
These pictures are horrible but I took them late last night inside and didn't realize until tonight that most of them are blurry. Hopefully, I'll get to have the knife back for a while to make a sheath for it in a few weeks and will be able to take some more pictures then. Thanks, Mike
