Elknut 1,I get my fletchtape from 3 rivers 1 roll will do nearly 4 dozen arrows with 3 - 5" fletches. It is a little frustrating till you figure out some little tricks that make it a lot easier. Pm me of you want to know some tricks that I do when using fletch tape that make life alot easier.

I have problems with Duco on wraps. I use tape and glue the ends now.

Use fletching tape and super glu top and bottom on ends and a dot in the middle of the feather. Use enough so it's smooth on ends.

Works well for me.

For wood, Duco.  No working time with superglue and I don't like the white residue.

Hey Brock....use Duco on shafts that are sealed with Tru-oil.  Used that combo for years on wooden shafts without any problem.

All I shoot is aluminumn, tape works great!!

To take some of the grief out of applying tape if you have the shakes like me , clamp feather then clamp feather clamp in a small 3" vise that way things stay still.

No problems for me except when I short-changed the prep.

Hi Kenny,
I had the same problem and went back to Fletch Tite Platinum. My feathers will wear out before they become unglued.

I used bohning platinum for years until I watched Rob D's video on how to prepare the feather and shaft before applying it. Once I used his method I was sold on it.

Thanks again everyone, I went ahead and fletched some arrows, cleaned them off with acetone first, then used steel wool to clean any other residue that was there, and cleaned with acetone again, used duco cement and been shooting them with no problems, this is a great site to get good info, thanks for all your input, Kenny.
