One piece Silvertips
« on: March 03, 2012, 01:30:00 PM »
I've got a nice Silvertip TD and I'm toying with the idea of ordering a one piece.  Trouble is I haven't seen many photos of them.  I found a couple with a search but hoping to flush out a few more.

Got a one piece 'tip?  Like it?  Got pics?  Help me decide please...   :archer2:

I will be on the list for another one piece Tip soon!   :goldtooth:

I received one a while back, that Jim Rogers bought new from Paul in 83... 60" and 59#@29" built by Paul in Oct of 83...

It is going to be one of the auction items at the upcoming PBS banquet being held in a couple weeks in Portland Ore.

I'm saving up, but not sure I'll have enough $$ to bring it back home with me.   :banghead:

David; The back side were stained red elm and the belly were black glass. Most of my 'tips are black glass front & Belly.

David; The flare is actually " Amarillo" , i chose it over osage because it does not darken over time. The main wood is an orange cocobolo.
      Love your 66" 'Tip!

Ah yes, I mistakingly said vermillion. So its true it keeps it's yellow color over the years?
I love 1 piece Tips, but Dave would not make me a 66"....I had to bother the hell out of him to make me the 66 TD.
Hope to see a lot more pics here!

Great looking bow Sergio.  I haven't seen a flare like that before, gives me something to think about.

Must have taken some smooth talking to get you to part with it.

I bet these are great shooting one piece bows with the extra weight in the risers.
