Bow riser lamp Thanks Trooper (Murray) and Bill Carlsen
« on: March 11, 2012, 11:15:00 AM »
A good while back I asked if anyone had a wall hanger bow so I could try and make a lamp.Murray and Bill offered them to me,being Trooper was in Louisiana he got a couple to me a Browning and a Indian Archery Hawkeye model from the 70's which I used.Indian Archery used a profile of a brave for the side plate so I made a new one kinda like the old one.I did not get my project for maybe a year or two with hunting, job, and grandchildren but have now finished it.I have one pic with an arrow sticking through shade just placed and want opinions if I should put it permenant.I have one pic with it on so it does work.Tough part drilling the vertical hole through riser at site window without coming out the side. The last pic is its new home between bunk beds at my camp.

That is a very cool idea.  If I find a bow that has blown up I am going to try to make one.

Love it.  I would like to try my hand at this.

Does anybody have a blown up wall hanger that needs a new life?

Kip,
That is really nice.  I like it so much, I just might have to cut up one of my Shrews...err maybe not.  But I still like it
