Feather length and spine

Am I correct to think a 4" feather will show weaker spine than a 5" feather on the same shaft?

I think in theory that may be but in actual shooting situations I doubt you would be able to tell any difference in how your arrows shoot.

Yes.  Not enough to be able to tell for accuracy. 4 inch feathers will leave you a hair weaker spine than 5 inch feathers.
