It's with great sorry that I report the passing of Jim Mitchell the founder and president of Sissipahaw Traditional Archers. Jim's obituary can be found  here  and we have posted a memorial on the  www.stacgang.org  website.

I read read the obit. Glad to read that he was a religious man. Those who are left behind have difficulty not grieving his passing but can take great solace that his is with his Lord.

Prayers sent,

While sad for us who remain behind for a time, I take consolation when someone passes by remembering a simple statement a 105 year old lady told me when she was dieing.  She looked at me very matter of factly and said

"FRED, you have to die to go to heaven"  ...... 105 year old ladies can be very wise.

A couple of my better hunting experiences were hunting with Jim at his favorite honey hole. He was very kind to share it. Prayers for Jim and his family.

I hate to hear the news. Jim was a great promoter of traditional activities in NC. It was great knowing him.
