At ten yards you should be able to see and shoot at arrow holes in the target bag. Aim small hit small.

2-3" groups at 10 yards is pretty good. When you can, step back to 20 yards. Your groups should be twice what they were at 10yards, so 4-6". There is not a person on this forum that wouldn't be pleased with that size group at 20 yards, especially if you can do it consistently. In all honesty, if you are a hunter, the only thing that really matters is how accurate your first shot is.

I agree I can really tell when I pick a spot and when I lose focus and start zone shooting.

If money allows, call Rick Welch and book a 2 day class. It'll cut your learning curve considerably and have you practicing with correct form and good practice habits.

keep it FUN!
For hunting accuracy...its EVERY arrow EVERY time. Keep getting closer to the target until you KILL your guarry EVERY time.
Regardless of equipment EVERY arrow EVERY time is a truely close range proposition.
You are doing good!
