Anyone in the San Jose, CA area?

I have a young friend who is a little shy about posting cause he hasn't shot a longbow before.  He lives in San Jose.  I thought maybe I could find someone to help mentor him...tippit

Have him look up and visit either of these two archery ranges in that area:  Stevens Creek Archery Range where he will find a lot of traditional archers, or, S.F. Archers in Pacifica California..this is a five star archery range with 3 ranges on it including a practice but.  Range has a small lake on it as well.   This is also one of the three oldest organized archery ranges in the country as it dates back to the 1940's.  I was a member here many years ago and the very helpful traditional community at this range were responsible for developing my own love of traditional archery.  Their web site is  www.sfarchers.com  and they have a calendar of events and directions posted on the site.  Have fun.

There's a trad shoot at the Pacifica Archers on the 22nd. Lots of trad shooters there. They have the mammoth 3D target out, too: the big one! Good place to meet people. I'll be there.

I'm in Sonoma COunty, in the North Bay no too far from San Jose. I am new to trad bow hunting but am making lots of connections up here. I'm trying to get in as many hunts as I can this year and I would love to talk to anyone in the general region.

There are some cool trad events that are coming up in this county including the Western States Trad Rendezvous and the Traditional Archers of California Trad Rendezvous.
