Here is an opinion from Germany.
Got my Epic ACS RC yesterday. 17" ILF riser, long recurve limbs, 62" bow. 45#@28", 48#@29,5" (my draw lenght)
Came with a nice skinny string and inserts for a bow quiver. Thanks again, Mike!
Its a real nice riser, the high grip has got a perfect profil, it is very narrow in lateral expansion though. But thats a matter of habit and a subjective thing I guess.
The rough finish is great. Its like an anti-slip covering and the wood looks great as a result.
The limbs are THAT great. Very smooth and fast, good workmanship. Pretty lightweight and very torsion-resistant.
Indeed the arrows I was checking out with Stu Miller are not stiff enough, I was hitting a bit right all the time, but in pretty tight groups at 15 yards.
So I´ve tried the arrows from my 54#@29,5" recurve and yes, perfect match.
You can feel the high preload at the beginning of draw, but at full draw its very smooth, no staking, not at all.
Without string silencer you can hear the speed, wich means it is very loud
But with some fleece in the string and some fine tuning the bow is silent now. I´ve done some grease in the brass bushings at the ILF screws, cuz there was a vibration to ring out, now there is absolut silence.
The bow is worth the wait and the money imho.
I guess we will be friends.
