Ants in game cameras

Anybody know how to keep black ants out of game cameras? I started out this year with 4 working cameras.Ants have infiltrated 3 of the 4 and 2 of them no longer work. The old Moultrie D40s. I just open them up, blow out the dead ants, put it back together and go. The older wildviews. Ants get in and it fries the circuit board.

I can't see where they are getting in as the seals are good. The exterior power jack still has its rubber grommet thingy. Doesn't seem to be a specific tree or type of tree.
Was kind of exciting to go pull the memory card and have 2900 pictures after only 4 days! 2892 of them were ants crawling across the sensor from inside.   :D

  If you have a Lowe's near by go to the pest control area and look for some little traps called "Terro" and get the little clear packs like 4 in a box or so...If you can put a pack in each trailcam box somehow give it a good 5/7 days to work...You can try to just wedge a pack behind the cam so nothing can remove it... Go back and notice the ants will move out...You can also get a seed bag or pellet form that you can sprinkle around but not sure you want to leave an odor around your hunting area but if you sprinkle it around the tree as well this will keep them from going up the tree...Very best stuff I ever used around my house but it does take about 5/7 days to see the results...

I think I'd just try to put some duct tape around all the seals. You may have to put a piece of plexiglass over the lens and tape or silicon it down.

There is a spray in a bottle, picked up at Lowe's or we have a Menards here, called Home Defence. It is a spray, low oder and dries clear. Lasts about 4 months. It works very well and ants will be gone in a day, you can spray the base of the tree and trunck and even your camera box, just wipe the lens off right away. Ants will be a none issue.

Thanks guys. Already have the terro, use it around the house and I picked up a bottle of home defense bug killer. Still not sure how the little buggers are getting in the cameras!
