devcon 2 ton epoxy works the best for me

I do a lot of arrows each year. You want to use a epoxy with a longer setup time. Like 15 minutes or more. I like the 2 part stuff that sets up in about 30 mins.

Must of the stuff I read recommends a cross pin too. You could make one out of a finishing nail

I use JB weld with no crosspin.  My string will break or arrow will shatter or snap before the point pulls off.
