Arrow problems

Hey Guys
 I am trying to get my  Heavy Buff arrow up to par and I am having a time with it.
I am shooting my 80# Big Jim Buff bow, I am shooting Gt trads 75-95 cut 30" an the heaviest point weight I can put up front either 125 with a 100gn brass insert or 200gn with ALU insert.
If I put 300gn heads up front with or without brass inserts its way to weak.
I have tried building the shelf out an putting weight tubes in, an they have little effect if none.
I Know I need to get a stiffer shaft But This  my question, to keep a Heavy shaft what direction do I need to head.

Jamie, have you bare shafted Yet? Those results you told me about with feathers on don't mean a thing.

Only two carbon arrows out there stiffer than the 7595's and that is the Full metal jacket dangerous game and the kinetics.

If building the shelf out ain't affecting anything, than you have something else going on there. I shot .200 spine kinetics out of that and they flew perfect with or without feathers, but I was also drawing that bow up to 3"s more than you are.
I guess I am anyway, I don't recall you telling me your draw length.

Definitely bareshaft as Big Jim suggests and if you are indeed spine weak file or othrwise remove the "lip" on an aluminum insert and insert it behind the front insert. If one does not increase spine enough you can add another or even a portion of one to get there. Initially use a tiny patch of saran wrap or something similar over the end of all the inserts so tou can remove them by tapping them out with a rod as you determine what you need.

I draw 29" I shot them bare fletch an they almost turn crossways before they to the target  LOL

I don't know your bow, and am just getting started with trads, but the best answer I've found for buff arrows so far is the 200 spine Gold Tip Big Game Kinetics. This arrow can be footed using Eclipse 2014 aluminum arrows (some production runs may need 2013 footers.) Using the threerivers weight tubes with these you should be able to get just about any tip weight and shaft weight you want.

At a 29" draw you won't have too much length trimming range.

By varying the footing length and arrow length you should be able to get that combination to work.

Won't be able to trim the kinetics. I have been using the 2013's for a footing on them and it works very well.

featherhorn, when I was using that same bow, I was shooting a full length kinetic .200 with 413 up front including the footing. I draw to 30.5" and the bow shot those shafts just a scant stiff which was perfect for when I added the BigJim Broadheads. They tipically require a slightly stiff shaft due to there massive size.

Shoot the lighter points for now until I get to the classic and I'll let you shoot some of my arrows. That may save you some money.

I would try Alaska Bowhuntings Safari or new Momentum 175 shafts. According to their chart with the Safari shaft you will be able to play around quite a bit with point weight.

I have been thinking alot about getting some safari's But dang thats a big lick for arrows
