I've got a 49@28 Toelke Lynx coming that i draw about 28.5" i like my arrows about 30.5". What shaft would you start with of you wanted to run a 175gr. Head? I'm thinking 2117 or 2018, does that sound about right?

The 2018 should be close. The 2117 would probably require a little more point weight, possibly 200 grs.

I shoot 2016s given those parameters. I find a 2016 will shoot out of every bow I own--47-55#@28. I cut them 29 1/2 back of point and normally use 145 grain points on them.

2018 would be my choice over 2117. I shoot 29", 2114's out of my 46 to 53 pound long bows. With that said I prefer to hunt with 55-59 woodies.

Depends on where the bow is cut to and whether you got ff on it. If the bow is cut to center and no ff, 2016.
Bow is cut to center with ff, 2016-2018
Cut past center no ff, 2018-2117
cut past center and ff, 2117
God Bless

I would thing the 2117 would be better if you want to leave it that long and still use the 175 grain point.

I agree with all the others - try some 2016s. Those Easton 500 Game Getters are pretty reasonable. So are the 400s (2117s).

I use a 31.5" 2117 with 175 points out of my 50# Martin Hunter. They fly pretty good, but any shorter and they'd be stiff.
