Dick Palmer Longbows?
« on: May 06, 2012, 06:07:00 PM »
I was wanting to know if some folks that had a Dick Palmer longbow would post some pictures for me. I have a chance at one and wanted to see a few of them(including the one that I might buy) before I decide. I think that I have shot one before but it would of been a long time ago.
Thanks,
Chris Kiefner

I have one from back in the early '80s I think. It is 70# @ 28", 72" long. Don't have any pictures but it is a plain bow. Straight as a board. Black limbs. Haven't shot it in years. Even at my short draw I was way over-bowed. Had a friend who had an old Pearson (I think) and you couldn't tell any difference between them.

I think that the specs are about the same as the bow I am looking at.

I've been very sick the last few days. If I can I'll try to get a few pics in a day or two.

No pics but ive shot one that my frind has and been in his shop numerous times. The wood arrows I have been shooting the last few years were made by him.

The bow my friend has has held up very well and he really likes it. Dick stopped making bows years ago so if you like it go for it.

i've got one, left handed,68# hunter, it was made for dick by martin, the only difference is the limbs are trapazoidal on the edges, very powerful quiet and accurate, the limbs really work well and put out a heavy arrow well.
