I just switched to the Quick Stick hot melt glue from Big Jims for my carbon arrow inserts and it has definitely passed the test. I was real leary, as I have never had any success with any other hot melt. This stuff is the real deal and I have not lost a single insert yet..........and I can install and remove my inserts at will!

I use an industrial strength low temp hot melt that I get from a local business in my town. It works better than any commercial hot melt I have tried and holds like epoxy.

Been using epoxies and JB Weld and others.
Just switched to Big Jims hot melt and I won't go back. I use it to tune my arrows, makes it soooooo easy to put the inserts in then take them out to cut/ shorten the shaft and tune some more     .

I use Gorilla Super Glue GEL with the BLUE cap.  It will not set immediately which allows you to rotate your points and is impact resistant.  I've never had a point come out.  Period.  I use 91% Isopropyl alcohol to clean the shaft inside and the insert then apply the glue.  The GEL version of this glue allows you some time to get things right before it sets up.  Once it sets, you won't get it out without damaging the arrow.  ~Steve
