Bowyer in Pueblo, CO

Has anyone ever heard of Mike Hays (sp) from Pueblo, CO.  Just looking for some info on him.  I shot one of his longbows at my local shop today, and it was amazing.

Mike Hays (Black Canyon Bows) in Pueblo Colorado.  Tel: 719-547-4359.  I've never shot his bows but have heard good things about them.

I have friends in the Denver area that shoot his bows and swear by them. I met Mike years ago at a shoot and he is a great guy.

They are excellent shooters.  I had an old (one of his early bows) TD recurve he made.  I would still have it but just couldn't handle the 70# draw weight.

Hey Sawtooth,

Where is your "local shop"?  I haven't heard of a trad shop near Canon City.  I'd be interested in checking out Mike's bows sometime when I'm in the area.

Mike

Slim,

It's not a trad-only shop.  It's everything...wheelies too.  Canon Arrow in Canon City.  Owned by Bob Steers.

Bob happened to have his longbow hanging in the shop.  He was kind enough to let me get it strung and shoot a few arrows on his indoor range.  It was the only Hays bow in the shop, and isn't for sale.  However, Bob said he was dealing with Mike.
