One quiver listed on Forum 4 for the St Jude auction has been won. There is just one left on Forum 5 and that ends tonight. Again, it's for the kids.

It looks like the name of this series of quivers will be "Mesa". The definition describes the shape of the quiver better than any other one word name. We will have some variations of this basic "Mesa" series to be named later. I don't think that anyone suggested this name before I used it, so we will have to decide who came up with the closest, or next best name.

The winner will be announced later today or tomorrow. Thanks for everyone who participated. I had fun and I hope that many of you did also.

I like this design, Don. I like the flat profile and the fact that there's no foam in it. It looks simple, solid and safe ... a good example of form serving function. How much does the total rig weigh without arrows in it?

Since you are picking a winner not based on a name you will actually use, perhaps you should do a poll for the win.

Gila Mike, the weight for a complete "Mesa" with the "totem" and "wing options is between 9-9.5 oz. I'll try in the next couple of days to show exact weights with and without options.

There were so many good names suggested that it's been difficult to decide which would be best. "Mesa" was decided because of it's simplicity and the fact that it accurately describes the shape of the hood. Also, we will make a "crested" model and another deeper hood for the 3+" broadheads. It will be called "Big Mesa" or as Hawkeye stated above "Mega Mesa".

Because Rick Butler had two names on the final list of six, I guess that he should be the winner of a "Mesa" bow quiver. (Rick, let us know which one you would like and where to send it.)

To show our appreciation for your participation, Karen and I thought about how to thank you. We agreed that anyone who has suggested a name (before now) would be eligible for a 20% discount on the purchase of a "Mesa" bow quiver...good until the end of June, 2012.   :archer2:

To answer the question on weight by Gila Mike, the "Mesa" hood by itself weighs 4.5 - 5 oz. The Hood and the regular 4 arrow talon grip wrap system together is about 7 oz. The hood with totem, wing, and 5 arrow gripper is about 10 oz.

Several have asked so let me reply to the issue of price. The standard "Mesa" hood with only the standard talon grip wrap system and 5 arrow gripper will sell for $75.00. With the totem and wing options it will sell for $95.00. We are also making a "Crested Mesa" with a different color leather on the front. These will be $5.00 more.

Thanks, Don. That's a good weight. It's within an ounce or two of the quivers I have now and I like the shape of yours better. Guess I'll have to go shake the piggy bank!   :)
