Tuning Arrows With Weight Tubes Installed

There is another thread going on about heavy arrows for elk, and it has me convinced I want to bump up my arrow weight.  
I am shooting Gold Tip 55/75's right now out of a 57#@29" recurve.  Getting great flight with 250 grains up front on arrows weighing a total of 530 grains.  Will adding weight tubes affect the tuning (and great flight) that I have now?  I did try bumping up the point weight to 350 grains, but that weakened the spine too much.  
How do the weight tubes affect spine, if any?

Whip, quite a few guys will say they don't effect spine at all. I've found, in my experience, they do stiffen the spine very slightly on CX Terminator Hunters I tried them in. However, it only stiffed a little, I simply added 15gr of brass washer to get it back perfect again. I've heard others say their results were the opposite, and others who said they didn't effect spine at all. All I can tell you is give it a shot and find out.

By the way, I've got a big handful of the 3gr/in yellow tubes I can send you to try out if you want em.

Guess I should have asked the question sooner JC - I ordered the 3gr/in tubes from 3 Rivers on Monday.  Oh well, sure appreciate the offer.  

If my results are anything like yours I should be in good shape.  I also ordered some Grizzly 150 grain broadheads, which will add 25 grains up front and hopefully will work perfectly.

I use the 5gr per inch tubes. It has stiffened them ever so slightly. Not enough to really matter in my opinion. I use 200gr. out front and they fly great.

I use the 2 gpi tubes in my CE Terminator shafts for hunting and I take them out for 3D.  I don't notice any difference.

I should clarify that.  I don't notice any difference in spine but obviously there is a difference in trajectory.

I've been using weed eater line (3 strands .080) in my 29" Beman Max 4 500 arrows with 175 tips and it bumped up my total arrow weight to 615.  They bare shafted real good and fly great with 5" feathers too.  They're real quiet in flight and I didn't notice any ill effects in flight due to the added weight or notice any noise since the trim line fits pretty snug inside the shafts.  I will say however that they really pack a punch when they hit the target.  I'll be using a STOS or Grizzly broadhead for my elk hunt this year.

I use fish tank tubing from wally world. I think it's around 7mm(?)tubing that fits snug into a 55/75 shaft. I didn't notice any spine change

Whip, what arrow length are you shooting?

My arrows are cut to 30.5".  I did try the weed eater line in some Carbonwood arrows, but they had a distinct rattle to them.  Didn't like that at all, but maybe the Bemans are a thinner shaft and don't allow for the rattle?

Weight tubes came today, and I mounted a few grizzlys on them.  Total weight ended up at 700 grains - even more than I was hoping for, and best thing is they seem to fly great!  Haven't had a chance to bareshaft yet, but initial results are sure encouraging.
