How do the old Herter's Bows shoot?

Howdy Gang,
Been giving a good long look at the old herter's recurves lately, and I must say that they made some awfully pretty bows. I was wondering how they shot?  I personally have never handled one or seen one in person but they look like a quality bow.  Any input would be appreciated.

I currently have 3 recurves that I shoot regularly and I think they perform as well as any bow I've shot with wood limbs (I'm shooting D10 string padded to 18 strands). I have a international hunter (current favorite) 54@28 63" that shoots 75 spined fir with deadly intent.

I have a 40# international hunter and it's an amazing bow. Light , quick, quiet for a recurve . Very high wrist grip(my only complaint) but I do love that bow

Just as Good or Better than any other Bow made today! Just 'cause theyre Old dont mean they are OLD!!

Here's a lightweight 50's style Herters that is fun to shoot. Zips 1916(s) with a 6 strand padded to 16 D10 string....

We all had them when we were kids, most of them blew up from twisting when stringing.  They are quick, some have fat handles, some are rather hefty with the large rosewood risers. If the limbs are straight and have not been twisted or spent their lives in a closet putting all that riser weight on one limb, they are good bows.

They shoot fantastic, and can be had at reasonable prices. I love the heavy risers and the finish was generally very very slick.

They sure are good looking bows. I'm someone that prefers the production bows over customs. I know that goes against the grain, but it is what it is.
