I've managed to both "Robin Hood" and "Tiki Torch" my beloved Gold Tip Traditionals more than I care to mention -- though the "Tiki torching" seems to be behind me, now that I've gotten more accurate. In the case of most of the Robin Hoods (where I've struck one arrow with another either at the nock *only 1 time) or along the shaft, generally the arrow is relegated to that great big quiver in the sky. For the "tiki torches" where the insert is driven into the shaft, causing a uniform expansion at the tip (caused by missing the target and hitting something hard (like a rock or concrete wall), depending on the severity of the hit, I cut it down just past break and re-use it (so long as the arrow otherwise looks to be in shape). I generally pull 29-30", so reducing to 27-28 doesn't kill me. If I end up with too many of them (don't think the pocket book can handle that!) I'll save them until my kids work up to heavier bows...
