japanese arrow bamboo source?
« on: June 07, 2012, 07:57:00 AM »
I've been looking for japanese arrow bamboo to plant and ultimately to use for arrow building for about 6 months now.  Has anyone ever purchased this stuff?  If so, please provide some contact info for the vendor.

Yes, I have it planted in the back yard. You need a large area to plant it because it is aggressive. I planted mine about 9 years ago and now I have plenty of arrow shafts, atlatl shafts, and garden stakes.

I have given clumps of it to several people but not keen on shipping it. If you are ever in the area, I'll provide you with a planting. (That's true also for any other Tradgangers.)
