The absolute best arrow weight to bow draw weight I have ever used was 6.3020833 gpp, but that was on a 96# bow, so maybe it don't count.

Right now I am shooting 12.65 and that seems to be working great for me. I like some weight in my arrows. Where my local club shoots 3D it is always windy and I love to see how my heavy arrows are far less affected by the wind then my friends'!

10-12. 12 for hunting and closer to 10 for targets.

i shoot 8-9 for 3d and competition
i shoot 10-13 for hunting.  i tend to lean more toward the 12 or 13 for hunting.  i never complained about too much penetration!

Same with everyone. 9-13 wherever they land when shooting straight.   The 9.5  one is an 83# bow, sort of an anomaly

So most of you guys are running 10-11 GPP. Does that have anything to do with the poundage of the bow and the overall arrow weight? I'm shooting three bows all at 30" I've got 65, 75, 85 lbs. So if I'm at 10 GPP my arrows would be significantly heavier then most who've responded to this thread. I've got a set of 800 grain surewoods that I'm shooting and to be honest I'm sure I'm giving up trajectory over something like a 600-650 grain arrow. And I'm pretty much positive a 600 grain arrow is heavy enough for north American game. Opinions?

My 3D setup is about 11 GPP, my hunting setup is about 9 GPP.

Ironic, I know.

Coil, I've never found a critter in Montana that a 550 grain arrow wasn't enough.

Depends on the bow...11 for my Wapiti, 12 for my Silver Tip.
