Crazy weekend
« on: June 12, 2012, 11:54:00 AM »
I spent a weekend with some of my less than stellar friends acting a little CRAZY. lol

Good times shooting, drinking and EATING WAY TOO MUCH!  Some of the cooked items were fried crappie filets, fried frog legs and alligator sauce piquant.

I really just wanted to show this beautiful place off.  The upstairs of this cabin was found hidden deep in the swamps of Louisiana and is rumored to have been an old hideout of the pirate Jean Laffite.  They had it moved to its current location and built a log cabin under it for the first floor.  The beams show hatchet marks where they were shaped from large cypress logs.  I would think the top of the cabin may be as much as 200 years old …..  no saws back then.

Always a good time when we get together ....  anyway hope y'all enjoy!

The old order is passing. Swiftly receding into memory are the days of strong, earnest men who followed an atavistic yearning to pit their skills against wild animals.

I really enjoyed that and the song played at the end had me laughing pretty hard.

Just a little video from the weekend.  Aerial targets with flu flus, closest to the wolf's nose at 30 yards, swinging bottles, headless elk with a plastic egg at 50+ yards.

BTW, y'all may also recognize Mr. "187" whitetail with a recurve" Corey Bailey frying the fish.

Eats  ....  pig on the grill, alligator, fish, frog legs, sauce picante, and about 10 different other menu items.  ONLY black cast iron pots and burners allowed!

Cherry bombs soaked in moonshine, muscadine wine, Jack Daniel and Evan Williams Honey Whiskey, what a combo!

All set amoungst an old cabin, some parts of which are 200+ years old.

NOTE:  THERE IS CURSING BETWEEN 2:34 AND 3:19 SO YOU MAY WANT TO PASS OVER THIS PART.  It's funny as heck though.  I guess to many cherry bombs for Buddy Ro.

Set the resolution up to 720 and full screen it.

very cool
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

They might have had some KTJ, but our blood/alcohol level killed them!    :bigsmyl:
