One of our neighbors at our hunting farm is Bill Barringer-wildlife artist. He is friends with my grandpa and is a dyed in the wool trad bowhunter. I went over to his house this morning to see if he could show me how to string up Tue new longbow that was sent to me by Caihlen. After getting it strung up and shooting for a while, we go inside to check out his awesome collection of sheds, mounts, pictures, bows and arrows. While inside, he pulls an older looking Bear riser out of a drawer and hands it to me. On the side I see the words "To my good friend Bill"-Fred Bear To say that I was in awe would be an understatement! I will try and get a picture next time, I just didn't have a camera on me unfortunately. Bill is a great guy and an incredible trad hunter, he even gave me a few razorheads to "practice your sharpening skills" as Bill said. These last few days I have been reminded that even if I may not have a custom made bow, or hundreds of private land to hunt, or all the arrows and broadheads I could ever want, I still have countless blessings in my life. There isn't a happier guy around right now I can guarantee you that. Just thought I would share, and I will try and get some pics here soon
