Fathers day beginning
« on: June 17, 2012, 09:20:00 PM »
Several years ago I made an ash self bow and enjoyed the experience. Sorry to say its been a couple years since I've picked up a bow but I really have wanted a fiberglass bow, My 7 y/o has been wanting to shoot his little fiberglass stick and I have wanted us to get out more and away from the daily grind.

Last night I glued up the first limb of a td recurve and have the second one in the oven as we speak. I made so many mistakes on the first limb and was so nervous I'll be amazed. If I actually get a shooting bow out of this. 2nd limb has gone a bit better.

Been a great weekend getting the hotnbox built and struggling through this.

I'll get some lice tomorrow I hope and work on the riser.
Happy fathers day everyone.

Some how "pics " comes through as lice in auto correct spelling. Rest assured no lice.... and hope to have pictures tomorrow. Lol!

Nit-picky autospelling!
I am always having to rewrite stuff on my phone.   :mad:

Killdeer~not feeling lousy   :D
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
