First trail cam check this year
« on: June 23, 2012, 11:16:00 PM »
Not to bad for the first check.  This is a area I found on our farm last year and killed a nice buck  with my wheelie bow before making the switch to trad gear.  Its right in the edge of bedding area.  The area I hunt was logged about 3 years ago and the rest of the bedding area was logged 10 or 12 years ago.  Its terrible thick.  This stand site has a cluster of oaks that were left.  September 1st can't get here soon enough.

#1 looks like he injured a horn when they first started growing.  I think he will make the short list.  He should be cool after he finishes.

#2 This is the only picture I got of this guy.  I hope to get some more as summer goes on.  I'm positive I'd shoot this deer given the chance.

#3 Still young but we will see.  I'm not a trophy hunter by most folks standards and I'm looking for my first buck this year with Trad Gear.

Do or do not.  There is no try.
