Looks like a big pikastimas(?) kind that sticks to your fish tank and eats the algea. A few lakes up here have them in them and they can get huge.

we got a bunch of plecaustamus(?) here in Florida, some call them "armored catfish" since they have a hard shell of a body.. they make under water tunnels/burrows in lake edges..people buy them for their aquariums for algae control and then turn them loose in our lakes and rivers. they are an evasive species and nothing seems to eat them.    http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/armored-catfish-wreaking-havoc-south-florida-lakes-182812663.html

Plecostomus X 2

The breed like crazy and people buy them as babies for a couple bucks a piece. Used to sell them as a tropical fish salesman, we were just trying to get them outta our ponds, they came in from a hurricane that flooded other fish farms and drainage ditch that connected several farms.

Bisch, way to get that Sucker

Man, y'all got it nailed as to what they are. I never even knew they were out there till I met a guy through another forum that had pictures. We ended up shooting abot 90 of them in 4 or 5 hrs one night. I can't wait to go back after them again one of these nights!

I dont know it would be the best hog bait but would be worth a try.

I bet if you threw a pile out and let them sit out in the sun a day or two the hogs would be interested.  We used to get more hog pictures than coyote pictures on our gut pile game cams.

No experience here, but I understand that they eat everything and a pile of ugly fish should stand out in Texas and might draw em in.
