Are posts asking about non-sponsor products allowed?
« on: June 30, 2012, 01:49:00 PM »
I've seen a few well intentioned posts disappear lately and wanted to clarify the law of the land regarding posting questions about non-sponsor bowyers, equipment manufacturers, etc.

I was under the impression that the only thing frowned upon was the non-sponsor himself trying to use the site to generate business without ponying up for a sponsorship - which I completely agree with.  No freeloading is a good policy.

I did not however think it was off limits for members (and contributing members) to post questions or experiences with non-sponsor products.

Seems like more than a few of us are confused as to the specifics on this topic so it might help everyone to understand how content is being censored in the best interest of all of us that enjoy trad gang and the information and helpful people we find here when we have questions.

No....they are not normally removed.....only if they have been banned or if there is a 'run' of threads that looks to be a spam effort or if someone posts an infomercial on a non sponsor.
