Use to work at a distribution center, I had to just look the other way when I walked by a trailer be loading by employees of any of the major carriers. They just launched the stuff into the trailers. Sometimes seemed like they were intentionally trying to see how rough they could be with the package. I understand when a company is moving millions of packages a day things have to move fast and deadlines have to be met, but it is really crazy how poorly some of the stuff is handled. Certainly some of the onus has to be on the shipper to properly protect and secure the contents in a sturdy container, but the average person should not have to pack items to withstand a drop for an airplane or being run over by a semi.
