Any hunting in the Huntsville area??
« on: July 12, 2012, 05:37:00 PM »
I just found out I will be in Huntsville, AL from 7-16 thru 7-27-12.  Is there anything to hunt in that area in the summer?  I would happily bring my longbow if I could hunt something.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nothing really in season right now, except hogs, and I'm new to hogs. I know they can be found on Bankhead National Forest, which is about an hour's drive from Huntsville. Other than that, bowfishing is the only thing I can think of. There's some great bowfishing over toward Scottsboro.
