I have a doe and have killed some does with them, but in my experience, makes em a little spooky.  Had a buck see the deke and change to another trail taking a wider swing around the deke putting him out of range.  I think I'll leave the deke at  home this year....of course I said that last year and had to try it again.  I'm not sold.

I had one set up in some planted pines last year.  The pines had recently been thinned and the extra amount of light had caused the dog fennels to shoot up.  I had a small buck get about 10 yards from the decoy before he saw it.  It was hilarious!  He did the head bob thing for about five minutes before he started easing off.  As he was leaving, he kept looking back toward the decoy.  Eventually, he got to the side of the decoy and it disappeared on him.  I almost fell out of the tree from laughing so hard!  He just couldn't figure out where the heck that deer had gone so fast.   :biglaugh:
