Nock height when shooting of an elevated rest
«

Hi Guys
I am just about to start tuning my new bow I got from Jared at Journeyman archery and I am using a bear weather rest for the first time. When I was shooting off the shelf with my old bow I would have the nock at 5/8 of an inch (also shoot three fingers under). I am just seeking some advice on a starting point for my nock height on an elevated rest.

Start at your normal nock height and see what happens, then tune as usual. It should be a little easier to tune with a rest.

In my experience, your bow will tune with a lower nocking point when shot off a rest versus off the shelf, usually about 1/8" to 3/16" less for me.
