Anyone build risers????

I need a riser for a set of Roy Hall Navajo II recurve limbs.Not really concerned about looks.

Boy Jeff, I think by the time you get the wood to build it, rig up to match the bolt pattern, matching the limbs to the riser, given whoever does it gets the limbs straight enough to shoot without Roy's jigs in the first place, I think you would be tons better off in performance, fit and finish ponying up the money and calling Roy. A lot of times bowyers have precut risers for just such an occasion. Money can't buy you happiness, but in this case I think it can. I'm with Bob, call Roy.

I can't imagine anybody doing quality work for much less than a guy who has all the dimensions, specs, and jigs at his fingertips.  If you did have a cheaper copy made, I'd hate for people to see it and think Roy did it.  I've never even met Roy, but a few bucks to support the real deal seems like a better option to me, and a guarantee you will get something to be proud of.  Just my 2 cents.
