New Nocks for Gold Tips
«

I wanted to try a different nock on my GTs but I didnt have any nock adapters . I took a regular GT nock and took a piece of an old arrow and went to work with the belt sander .
Didnt let the plastic get hot just real light intermitent pressure, and ended up with this.
I then took a 5/16 glue on nock and that great super glue and now I have some new nocks.
I have been shooting with them and they seem to be holding up.

I never did have a problem with my GT nocks as some have. I sent mine back to GT anyways this past winter and got the free replacements they were offering. Haven't had one break since either.
tradbower....You still having problems with the GT replacement nocks?

Why didn't I think of that?!
Now you have tunable nocks of your favorite make!
You are smart!

Sometimes when the GT nocks break it is flush with the end of the shaft.I have never had one break on me,but I don't use them anymore. My buddy got some replacemant GT nocks for his old ones breaking. And he had 5 of the new replacement ones break.I just don't trust them!

Wow! I have heard of this problem but as of yet I have never (knocking on a woodie shaft) had a GT nock to break. I have been shooting Gold Tips ever since they were introduced. Maybe the girlie weight I shoot has something to do with it!LOL That is a great job you did on turning those knocks!

No Iam not having a problem with the nocks breking, just wanted to try some different nocks that I had on hand . It seems to be working, have been shooting them with out a rpoblem. This backdoor method will add about a 1/4 in of length to arrow and about 10grains of weight to nock end compared to reular GT nocks.

Had 3 white ones break on me while stumping this weekend. Broke off at the end of the shaft at stump contact. Time for a change.
