ILF Trader or keeper? Advice please!
« on: July 23, 2012, 05:16:00 PM »
Picked up a new (never been shot) ******** (Samick) Apex ILF 17" riser with long 50# Black Max limbs today from a fellow trad shooter who won it in a raffle (heavier than he shoots, plus he wants a new smoke pole).  Price was so inexpensive that I couldn't let it pass.

Now what to do - should I use it for a trader, or should I add it to the (fast growing) stable (not sure if that's the correct word) of recurves and longbows that I am accumilating?

I must admit, it's a good looking rig!

Amy comments on this set-up as far as experiences, etc.?

Shoot it....if you like it....keep it!! If not sell it or trade it for something that you would like! ILF stuff is kind'a neat, you can get and try different limbs, recurve and longbow. Just remember to have fun doing it!

Going to shoot her this weekend.  Yeah, ILF rigs are neat.  I have a nice Morrison ILF longbow that is a sweet shooter.

Probably keep it.  I listed mine for sale yesterday, but now I'm rethinking it.  I went over the bow and made some adjustments and it now has a totally different feel.  I haven't scratched the surface as far as tinkering but I want to keep that to a minimum.
