I've been using a Cavalier for the last few weeks after being a glove shooter forever. I like the spacer, it eliminates any contact between my index or middle finger and the arrow nock (split finger shooter).
I went to the tab specifically for this reason as I get a lot of split callouses and cracks on my finger tips, especially during the fall. At times using a glove the pain was too much to take and shoot accurately. The spacer totally eliminated the problem for me.

Yea. I have shot it for years without but the underside of my index finger gets wicked sore at times. I'm going to try with spacer. Still feel its the best after probably trying a dozen tabs over the years.

Shot split w/o spacer-it was uncomfortable--now shoot 3 under. When shooting distance-FITA distances still shoot split without a spaced. Thanks, Roy
