coming back to trad

ok i ve been away from stickbow shooting for about a year so i deided to buy another bow and get back into it i bought the hoyt buffalo 45@28 i wanna hunt this year with it is that too far fetched

No it isn't far fetched. Tune your bow, start shooting NOW.....you will be bck in the saddle by October.

Shoot every day, work on form and enjoy yourself.  You will know when you are ready.

Absolutely.  Most anyone can be ready to hunt with a trad bow pretty quickly.  The real issue is the ranges you will be ready for.  Just keep shot choices within your effective range you are good to go.  If that means 12 yards, great.

Just because a buck walks by in "bow range", doesn't mean it was in YOUR bow range :^)
