I was up at that shoot myself, and it was seriously hot out there. hanging bows up in that direct sunlight for more than an hour was asking for trouble. i got spooked and laid all mt bows in the van with the doors wide open, and waited till they cooled down to unstring them.

I'm real sorry to hear about you loosing a limb. i won't use anything but a sellway stringer, or a stringer made by Sixby on my RC's. When you buy a custom bow, or a set of static tip limbs from Sixby, he will send you a stringer made for the limbs upon request.

I'd highly recommend Steve for building some new limbs for you.... Kirk

I had just come out of the woods and was making a point to unstring my bow and get it out of the sun.  Would have been better off taking my chances with a strung bow.  Won't use anything but a selway again.

The new limbs you are getting won't twist like that. I put anti twist stuff in em LOL/.
Guys I don't build limbs for other peoples bows generally. This is for cost of materials and as a favor for a Bro to fix his favorite bow.

God bless you , Steve

You are welcome, I bet you would do the same thing.

You know life is sure about a lot more than making money. It becomes my privledge and my blessing to do this. I could feel your attachment and the sentimental loss and I hope this helps.
God bless you, Steve

I just came across this - what a great example of the traditional archery community.

Hats off to Sixby for a fine gesture.

Man I hate to hear this.  It makes me sick.  I am new to traditional archery and stringing and unstringing is my biggest fear. I bought a stringer from flea bay with a leather cover for the bottom limb and a rubber block that looks like an arrow head that sits on the face of the limb.  I hope I am using the correct stringer.

I hope you can get your bow fixed.

Glad to hear you are ok.  That is what is really important.  There are always other bows, as much as this one was a favorite!!
