Arrow change?

Hey all!!I've been shooting Axis 340s cut to 31" with 125grs. up front out of my 54# @28" Jordan Stalker recurve.I've been really happy with these shafts except for the weight(About 480grs).I'm down to my last shaft and was pretty certain I would go with Beman MFX shafts of some type with brass inserts but started thinkin today about trying something different.Past eperiences with Vapor shafts have led me away from GT,but today I started lookin' at snow blems for the unique look at very obvious visibility in the feild.I know I would definitely want weight tubes but wanted to know how easy they were to tune and deal with?I know both GT and 3rivers both make weight tubes for these shafts. At 17 yrs old I've started to realize you cant necessarily put ALL your cash into archery equipment(you can dream to though) and price has a little affect on the change also.So any suggestions on any other medium priced shafts like CX or others would be more than welcome. But I guess my question mainly realates to durability and tuning weight tubes. Thanks for letting me rant  .

If you can find the Carbon Express Terminators in 45-60, I believe they will shoot well for you, are heavier and are a better arrow than the Gold Tips IMO. They are also the toughest carbon I've personally tried.
What are you drawing? I see your arrows are cut 31, if you have to have them that long the 45-60 might be pushing it.

I actuaaly only draw about 28" maybe a touch more. The reason for the 31" shaft was they were bareshafted through paper and bullet-holed that way with 125gr. heads.I actually decided more towards CX last night as I have a dozen Heritage 250s that I almost forgot about because I'd been saving them for a longbow that may or may not be built this Fall. But with season sneaking up on me I think using them now would be the wiser decision.Sorry for the useless post.
.Though I still wouldn't mind hearing some insight on weightubes??

The 250s will shoot for ya at the 31"s and 175 grains or so up front, if ya shorten them much more than ya would have to add more weight. Shawn

Ok that makes sense I shot a feathered full length shaft tonight with a 125gr. feild point that was hitting a little tail right.I couldn't remember if that was stiff or weak?
Thanx.
