pse kudu?? any good??

I am thinking of picking up a pse kudu.I was hoping someone could give me a review.I want to get a new bow but don`t have the funds for anything fancy.I have been shooting a wing archery red wing hunter at 50# the kudu will be 60#.Thanks

I have one that used to be my main backup because I could just pick it up and always seem to shoot it well. Its not a pretty bow and is cheap. The downside with mine (#55 @ 28)is that it starts stacking at 27" and with a draw at 28" it becomes very noticable which I think is strange for a bow marked 28".

I used to have a Kudo. It was my first recurve and I did kill my first trad deer with it. It does seem to stack a lot at the last inch of draw like mentioned above. For me, tuning it was not the easiest, but maybe I needed to get heavier tips for my carbon and I was learning. I just switched to an elevated rest and all was fixed. The worst thing about my Kudu, which I think they have changed the limb tips to fix, was that it would eat strings like crazy. I would have to replace the strings because of severe loop fraying every one to two months (I did wax the loops). My speeds were about 180 fps.

I eventually took it back to Cabalas because the limbs started cracking below both limb bolts next to the riser.

I did shoot the bow well, and I was happy with it and I did shoot it a lot. You may be a lot stronger than I am, but I would not want to shoot a 60# kudu. Mine was a 50#. If you want a new bow and can get to a Cabalas and can shoot one, that would be the best thing you can do. Other wise I would get a used high end bow from the classifieds for the same price.

I was content with my Kudu until I shot a few bows at the Trad Expo in Wheeling, and I was hooked on the Zipper with no question for my shooting style. No hand shock, smooth non-stacking draw..... Other than that bow for my style, the other bows seemed like expensive Kudos when I shot them. I guess take that for what it is worth, probably not much.... Just my thoughts, so don't kill me guys.
