Quiver for Thunderchild?
« on: August 24, 2012, 10:56:00 PM »
Ok I have a question for you guys that have a Thunderchild by Big Jim..which quiver are you guys using and any pics?  I just recieved a 54" TC and have a new Mesa quiver which I had to shorten the totem section and for some reason it just doest balance right and cause some weird flight with arrows..never had this problem before but makes me think because the riser is so so tiny causing some torque..I have the quiver right up there on the ramp section of the riser and not on the limbs...might not be able to use a quiver with this bow but I figure I ask you guys first..thank you

I tried 4 different quivers on my Thunderchild. They all worked pretty well. The one i liked the most was a Kanati strap on wood hood, 4 arrow. The bow shot great with it.Quiet, stable, accurate, solid and dead in the hand..

They certainly like a medium or smaller quiver better (in my opinion).

I use a medium Big Jims quiver and have developed an extension arm to  move the arrows back in line with the bottom limb.

I haven't fine tuned production yet, but have acquired all equipment to do so. Should be ready soon.

thanks, bigjim

I do not own a Thunderchild but I shoot a Big Jim quiver on my Buffalo and it does good.  It is a great quiver at a great price and as you should know they are good people to do business with.

X2 on the Big Jim quiver. I have used one on my 54" TC with no problems.

I agree Big Jim products goes together..I love the bow and after playing around a little today with my Mesa quiver..I think I found the sweet spot with my limited space to shoot..I moved it down farther on the fades..soon as I can, Im gonna air it out a little and shoot for distance once my knees are better...cant wait to see what you are offering on your new quiver line and thank you for awnsering my question the other day Big Jim

I use a medium Big Jim quiver on my Thunderchild and love it. Much better than the Selways that I used to use. Here's a pic of the Big Jim combo leaning against a sambar stag rub.

I like the EFA as I have the Mesa quiver on it but I'm liking Big Jims quiver and can't wait for his setback model. I have the setback feature. On my Mesa and like it a lot
