G Nock Durability
« on: August 29, 2012, 04:45:00 PM »
I am about to begin tuning up some AD shafts (Test Kit) Raptor is temporarily out of the AD nock adapters for glue on nocks so I thought I may try to use the Uni Bushings and G Nocks. However when I look at the G Nocks they just look so small and frail compared to glue on nocks and I am hesitant to use them.

For those of you that use G Nocks do they hold up well? Thanks.
God Bless

They are my preferred nock setup for my AD's,I have that on all of mine. They look small but have a large groove. The large groove G-nock is slightly larger then a X-nock.I have never had a failure or any problems with a G-nock.I also use them in some Easton ACC and Easton Superlight shafts.I shot them out of my 65# 21st Century arrows,my AD Trad's with 225 points and a total 625 gr. arrow.Don't let the small size get to you, they are very tough nock.

I switched to them after having issues with the AD nocks, and have had no problems with the G nocks. They are all I will use on my AD's from now on.

Tough nocks.  I use them on my arrows that see a heck of alot more punishment and higher energy than my stickbows.  I would use them with my stickbows but my groups aren't that tight  :banghead:  so no need to switch.

I don't think you will have any problem with them. That said I haven't had a problem with the standard AD nocks as of yet.

My favorite, been shooting them on ACCs for many years.  Last as long as any other nock, in other words until you hit them with another arrow.  They are small and that tends to reduce robin hoods, the impacting arrow is more likely to glance off.  They come in two groove sizes so you can match your serving.

Thanks for the info guys, I figured there were some people using them. Remember before Tradgang.....we had to figure all of this out ourselves, I have alot of old archery tackle stuff that didn't work for me, it is nice to get feedback.

 Thanks again.
