After you shoot the first arrow.... you have a spot....

That's why competitive 3D shooters keep a couple arrows in their quiver with a brown nocks and dark fletching, so when they are up first they don't leave a spot for the next guy they are shooting against to focus on.

What was the spot for the first arrow? That is the most important spot.

i dont like bag targets at all! they are loud when hit, too loud. i live in a golf community, shooting has to be inconspicuous. i have to keep my target fairly small, no bigger then 18x18. so i get a layered foam target, its very quiet and i get plenty of practice without drawing any attention. rv

I salvage cardboard boxes from the grocery stores and draw targets on them and then hang them on my bag target, , or I get those cheap paper targets of varmints, rabbits, grouse etc, we use them in winter league, just staple them on a cardboard square hang em on the bag! Gives you a wide option of thing to shoot at!

Nothing wrong with bag targets.  You've got to learn to pick a spot, regardless of what the target is.  If you don't, you won't pick a spot on game, either.

I also shoot better at small targets, been using the small golfball size wiffle balls getting ready for squirrel season next month and really impressed by how much better I shoot at them.Aim small miss small seems to be working!!!!
