Magnus Vs. Muzzy 4-bladers w/ bleeders
« on: August 09, 2007, 09:43:00 PM »
I'm getting some new broadheads for deer season and I'm a big fan of the traditional 4 blade with bleeders. I know muzzys are good and extremely sharp right from the package, but they,re expensive, and the magnus broadhead look about the same but you get six instead of three. So vote between the Muzzy Phantoms or Magnus Four blade screw in's.

I would shoot Snuffers but given the choices, I picked the Magnus only due to the cost and feel they perfrom just as good. Shawn

I love both of them, but I picked the phantoms

Like Shawn,I too prefer the snuffer and went with the Magnus for the exact same reason.

I like both too but picked the phantoms because they go up to  220gr.

I have not used the Magnus yet, but shot a 5X6 elk last fall with Muzzy phantoms, 125gr., and was very happy with the performance, they put a large hole in an animal.

Always been a huge muzzy fan "bad to the bone" or through the bone in many cases...

I think this is one of those 6 to one, half a dozen to the other. But I like the phantom better. They come alot sharper out the package and only need some light work to get them sharp. Tried Magnus and I know they are a good BH just never really liked em. All BHs are personal preference anyhow.
