Is a 500 gn arrow to heavy to shoot out a 45# recurve. Im not a speed freak I just want the best killin setup possible.

It gives around 11 grains per pound. It's complete OK to me.

No. Tuned to absolutley straight arrow flight is what gets it done.

I shoot a 48# longbow with arrows over 700 grains. Yeah, super heavy, but they pack a lot of punch.

I think the majority of bowhunters shoot arrows which are 9-12 GPP (grains per pound).
You're arrow setup GPP wise if fine.
