Wood to Carbon Conversion
« on: September 16, 2012, 09:47:00 PM »
Hello, I did a search and found 10 threads, but I still have some Q on carbon arrows.

I've been shooting trad for two years and ready to hunt this year. I started with woods, just because they're "great!", but I want to hunt with some carbons so I'm not worried about rain or them breaking as easy.

One thing that's not clear to me, are wt tubes: Do wt tubes affect the spine?
Are they necessary with carbon arrows?

Equip:
Bear Super Kodiak 50# 60"
My draw bout 26.5"

Thank you and good hunting this season!

Weight tubes have a negligible effect on spine.  They are usually not necessary with carbons.  Can achieve a lot of different arrow weights, and good FOC, with different insert, adaptor and broadhead weights.
