Been looking for a affordable left hand recurve around 50# to 55# @28 60" or 62". Had a Martin Hunter on my mind a new one is $550.00. Is that about as well as I can do for that money? What else should I look at?

Watch the classifieds here for awhile. A lot of great bows show up slightly used that would fit in your price range. If you lurk for a while you will get an idea of what bows from different bowers usually sell for. Then choose a couple of bows you are interested in and start the hunt. If you need one right away that might not work.
