Stingers. Bleeder blades or NO bleeder blades?
« on: September 26, 2012, 11:32:00 PM »
What is your opinion?

I shoot a setup of about 44 pounds at 29" draw length (recurve).

I have had a lot of success with Stinger 2 blades when I used a wheel bow.

I have come into possesion of some 100 grain Stingers with bleeder blades.

Will they do as well as the 2-blades with a 465 grain arrow out of my setup on deer?

Thanks for your thoughts, Skychief.

That was my EXACT set up last year. Worked like a champ on a bunch of deer and hogs. Those bleeders are small and dont impede penetration much. Lots of blood on the ground.

Keep the bleeders in.  Great for your set up.

Leave them in as long as you shoot them and see if they fly like your other set up.

I say leave them in as well. On any deer sized game and even most hogs the bleeders will not impede penetration. They will definately be better than 2 blades though on blood trails.
