Michigan bowhunters ?
« on: September 30, 2012, 09:04:00 PM »
Anybody able to answer a couple questions ?

I want to come up to the UP next weekend and deer hunt.  I live in WI.  Can I buy a tag OTC on Friday and have it good right away or must I wait for several days like WI (after the season starts there is a waiting period in WI).

Does Michigan require wearing a backtag ?  DO I have to check in a deer if I get lucky ?
That's a start.
Thanks

Chuck tags are good as soon as purchased.  No back tag and no check in.

great. .  any idea what a NR tag is gonna cost me ?  Is it gonna be a bucks only or either sex ?

Getting excited.  This will be my first hunt on a lil piece of property since I bought it about ten years ago.  Been to busy with life.

Non-res. tag is 138.00 good for a buck or doe but in the UP bucks are 3 points or better on 1 side I believe.
